Our Services
Heat pump systems are one of the most efficient and versatile HVAC solutions available today, providing both heating and cooling in a single system. At Vision Air Cooling & Heating, we specialize in complete heat pump services designed to deliver reliable comfort, improved energy efficiency, and long-term savings for homes and businesses across Texas.

With Texas weather ranging from extreme summer heat to cold winter mornings, a properly designed and installed heat pump system ensures year-round comfort without compromise. Our certified HVAC technicians take a detailed, professional approach to every project, ensuring your system operates at peak performance in every season.
Unlike traditional heating systems that generate heat, heat pumps transfer heat from one place to another. During the summer, the system removes heat from inside your home and releases it outdoors. In the winter, the process reverses, pulling heat from the outside air and bringing it inside—even in colder temperatures.
This advanced technology allows heat pumps to provide efficient cooling and heating while using less energy than conventional systems.
Proper installation is critical to the performance and lifespan of any heat pump system. At Vision Air Cooling & Heating, we carefully evaluate your home or commercial space to determine the correct system size, efficiency rating, and configuration.

FAQ
Straight answers from licensed Texas technicians — no jargon, no upsells.

How does a heat pump heat a home?
It moves heat rather than creating it. In winter it extracts heat from outdoor air and delivers it indoors; in summer it reverses and moves heat out. Because it moves rather than generates heat, it can deliver several units of heat per unit of electricity.
Does a heat pump work in cold weather?
Modern heat pumps hold useful capacity down into the twenties and thirties, which covers the great majority of Texas winter hours. Below that, auxiliary electric heat supplements the system.
Why does my heat pump blow cooler air than a furnace?
Heat pump supply air is typically 90 to 100 degrees, compared with 120 to 140 from a gas furnace. It heats the house perfectly well, but standing at a vent it feels less hot — this is normal, not a fault.
What is the defrost cycle?
In cold damp weather frost forms on the outdoor coil, and the system briefly reverses to melt it. You may see steam and hear a change in sound. It is normal operation — never chip ice off the unit with a tool.
How often does a heat pump need servicing?
Twice a year, spring and fall. It is both your heating and your cooling system, so it accumulates roughly double the annual run hours of a cooling-only unit.
