Indoor Air Quality
Cleaner Air. Healthier Living.

Indoor Air Quality plays a vital role in the comfort, health, and safety of your home or business. At Vision Air Cooling & Heating, we provide advanced Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) solutions designed to remove airborne contaminants, control humidity levels, and improve the air you breathe every day.
Even the best heating and cooling system cannot protect your health if the indoor air is polluted. Dust, allergens, bacteria, mold, and excess moisture can circulate through your HVAC system. Our IAQ services help create a cleaner, healthier, and more comfortable indoor environment year-round.
Dry indoor air can cause dry skin, irritated sinuses, sore throats, and damage to wood furniture. Our whole-home humidifiers help:
•
Maintain balanced indoor humidity levels.
•
Reduce respiratory irritation and allergy symptoms.
•
Improve overall comfort during dry seasons.
•
Protect wood floors and furniture.
High humidity encourages mold growth, bacteria, and unpleasant odors—especially in Texas climates. Our dehumidifiers:
•
Control excess indoor moisture.
•
Help prevent mold and mildew.
•
Improve HVAC system efficiency.
•
Protect your home’s structure and air quality.
UV light systems are installed inside your HVAC system to continuously disinfect the air and system components. Benefits include:
•
Eliminates bacteria, viruses, and mold.
•
Keeps HVAC coils cleaner.
•
Reduces odors and airborne contaminants.
•
Improves overall indoor air cleanliness.
A Media Filter is an Advanced Whole-Home Air Filtration System Installed Directly Into Your HVAC System to Significantly Improve Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) Throughout Your Home.
Media filters use a large-surface, high-efficiency filter designed to capture:
•
Fine dust and dirt
•
Pollen and allergens
•
Pet dander
•
Mold spores
•
Microscopic particles standard filters often miss
•
Helps reduce allergies and respiratory issues.
•
Creates a healthier environment for families and employees.
•
Extends the life of your HVAC system.
•
Enhances comfort and air freshness.

FAQ
Straight answers from licensed Texas technicians — no jargon, no upsells.

What indoor humidity should I aim for?
Between 40 and 50 percent year-round. Above 60 percent invites mold and dust mites; below 30 percent causes dry skin, sinus irritation and static. Humidity is the master variable in a Gulf Coast home.
What MERV filter rating should I use?
MERV 8 to 11 suits most residential systems. Higher ratings capture finer particles but restrict airflow, and a system starved of air runs hot, cools poorly and can freeze the coil. A four- or five-inch media filter gives high filtration at low resistance.
Why does my house feel clammy even when it is cool?
That is a moisture problem, not a cooling problem. Oversized systems reach the setpoint and shut off before removing humidity. A whole-home dehumidifier or variable-speed equipment fixes it; lowering the thermostat does not.
Do UV lights actually help?
At the evaporator coil, yes — they keep mold and bacteria from colonising the wet, dark surface, which protects both air quality and efficiency. Be sceptical of claims about sterilising air in motion, since air passes a lamp far too quickly.
Is duct cleaning worth it?
It is worth doing when there is visible mold, after construction dust, following a pest problem, or if ducts have never been cleaned in decades. It is not a routine annual service and will not cure allergies on its own.
